JOHN NORTHOVER

Before I took early retirement from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, I worked  as a First Secretary in HM Diplomatic Service and served for a period of 10 years in three overseas countries :  Yaoundé (Republic of Cameroon), Brussels (Belgium) and Sofia (Bulgaria).

I have lived in Wadhurst for 10 years and as well as having been an acting Member of Wadhurst Dramatic Club,  I have also served for 3 years as Chairman of the Club.  I am also a Member of the Committee of the Wadhurst Twinning Association and a Member of Wadhurst Rotary Club.

I hope that the broad experience I have gained over the years from working at home and abroad will enable me to make a positive contribution towards the Parish Council's efforts to improve the quality of peoples's lives in Wadhurst.  I have a particular interest in trying to promote a balanced resolution of the traffic problems affecting Wadhurst.
