The new Sparrows Green Sports Complex offers tennis courts, multi-purpose pavilion facilities and children's playground. The facilities of the new pavilion are available for hire to local clubs and societies; please contact Malcolm Ramsden, the parish clerk, on 01892 783 442.
DEVELOPMENT OF THE SPORTS CENTRE
The iron work gate for the pedestrian entrance above the steps by the car park at the junction, being donated by Mr John Burlison of South View Road, has been made with much care and dedication by Mr. Andy Powell of Castle Forge. The very impressive and elegant design by Mr. Anthony Elson, Des R.C.A., of Pell Green, contains a motif double-M for the millennium and four sparrows, amongst many other decorations and artefacts.
