What areas of local history interest you? Tick the upper box to show your interest in the subject and the lower box if you are willing to do some research in that area

1. Development of Wadhurst – the growth of Wadhurst and the change of use of its buildings – commercial, domestic and religious         2. Estates and buildings – few of our old buildings and estates have been thoroughly studied, either for their construction or their historical development        
               
3. Family History – many local families have lived in Wadhurst for generations; others have moved a way but are still interested in their roots         4. Industry and agriculture – some work has been done on the Wealden iron industry but more could be explored; agriculture too has changed dramatically over the years        
               
5. Oral history – we still have many local residents, whose memories stretch back into the last century or earlier.         6. Other areas of interest

The Society is considering applying for charitable status. If successful – we can use Gift aid to boost our income at no cost to members. If you are a basic rate taxpayer, please consider signing the declaration below:
