'Wadhurst Back in Time: 1901 - 1936' is now out - a very substantial publication!  Over 350 pages with plenty of illustrations and an appendix volume and CD, which contain details of shops and services in Wadhurst over the period and the complete run of census data for the parish from 1841 to 1911 in a spreadsheet for easy manipulation.  Price £15 and £3 for P&P.

Wadhurst Back in Time

'A Brief History of George Street and St George's Hall'  by Mary Offord - price £4 - has been very well received.  With a full review in The Courier, copies have almost sold out,  so we have now reprinted.

'Wadhurst in the Second World War - life in a Wealden Market Town 1939 - 1945' is available - price £12 - and is selling well. Written by members of the Society, it reflects the results of a year's research and provides a fascinating glimpse of life in our community during those difficult years. Copiously illustrated and thoroughly indexed, the book also provides a flavour of life for the country at large.
