PLANNING APPLICATIONS CAN BE VIEWED here - but note the reference number before leaving this page!

WD/2005/3462/LB The Old Forge Building in the grounds of The Forge Cottage, St James Square.
Alterations, single storey extension and change of use to restaurant.
No objection

WD/2005/3467/F The Robbins, Mayfield Lane
New double garage and gym with art studio above replacing existing double garage
No objection but it is suggested that any approval should contain advice that any further development would not be considered favourably

WD/2005/3459/F Newlands Farm, Dewhurst Lane
Annexe accommodation for elderly relatives, garage and erection of link between existing dwelling and garage/annexe.
It is noted that the proposal is an improvement upon the previous application and therefore we have no objection

WD/2005/3353/F The Stable Block, Wadhurst Park Estate
Single storey extensions to caretaker’s accommodation all to match as exists
We strongly object as it is considered that a 5 bedroom dwelling for a caretaker outside the development boundary is contrary to local plan policy

WD/2005/3436/F The Shop (formerly Wood-B-Pine) High Street
Change of use from retail A1 to financial and business services A2. No external alteration.
We object to the loss of retail A1 and it is not clear whether the first floor is included as being part of the application or how many people are to be employed. If the Council is minded to approve the application it is hoped that it would be conditional upon dedicated car parking spaces being allocated.

WD/2005/3431/F 18 Woods Green Cottages
Two storey extension to existing terrace house to provide kitchen and bedroom at rear of building
Strongly object as the proposal would adversely affect the neighbours on both sides, particularly No 17, as it is assumed that they would have similar windows as No 18 and would suffer loss of light.

WD/2005/3283/FR Eilona, Lower High
Reconstruction and widening of access, increased height to access walls, provision of new entrance gates and construction of new pedestrian access (part retrospective).
Strongly object as the appearance is considered unsuitable and suburban in character in this Conservation Area. In addition, the sight lines for any vehicle exiting on to the busy High Street would be affected.
It is noted that the existing lamp post is not shown on the elevation.

WD/2005/3328/F The Firs, Durgates
Single storey rear extension and attic conversion.
See our previous comments on application WD/2005/1845/F which still apply and, therefore, we still object. In addition it is noted that the sitting room bay is not reflected on the side elevation and the gable windows are narrower on the elevation than on the plan.
