WADHURST PARISH COUNCIL
THE MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE
HELD AT THE PAVILION, SPARROWS GREEN ON THURSDAY 1 MARCH 2007 AT 20:00

Present: Councillors Price (Chairman), Doyle, Standley and Wheeler.
Also in attendance: Clerk.

1.             TO RECEIVE APOLOGIES AND REASONS FOR ABSENCE
Apology received from Cllr. Thomas; reason noted and accepted.

2.             PUBLIC FORUM
None.

3.             TO REVIEW CURRENT YEAR EXPENDITURE, FORECAST TO YEAR END AND BUDGET 2007/08.
Expenditure for current year reviewed and forecast to year end updated. It is anticipated that there will be £65K unallocated cash at the end of current financial year and £57K at end of 07/08 based on agreed budget.

4.             TO CONSIDER TRANSFER TO RESERVES
Agreed to recommend a transfer to Reserves of £5K for tennis courts sinking fund and £1K for churchyard provision.

5.             TO CONSIDER FURTHER REPAYMENT TO LOAN
Discussion on possible further repayment to loan from unallocated cash.
In view of possible car parking provision at the fire station site and the uncertainty of costs involved, it was agreed to defer any decision on the loan repayment for six months.
