Privacy

WADHURST collects only the information needed to run a reader-facing media site responsibly. If you use our contact form, we ask for your name, email address, subject line and message, together with confirmation that you consent to the handling of your submission. We use that information to answer your enquiry, review corrections, process feedback, assess pitches and maintain our editorial correspondence.

We do not ask for special-category personal data through the public form and we do not want confidential personal details unless they are essential to a legitimate editorial matter. If you send sensitive material, we handle it with additional care and limit access to the people who need to assess it.

What we collect

When you browse the site, standard technical information may be collected by the hosting environment or analytics tools, including IP address, device or browser type, referring page, visit timing and basic usage data. That information helps us secure the site, diagnose errors and understand which editorial pages readers actually use.

Why we use it

We use contact-form information to respond to messages, manage follow-up correspondence and maintain a record of editorial interactions. We use technical data to operate, secure and improve the site. We do not sell reader data. We do not publish private submissions without permission unless a legal or overriding public-interest reason requires publication.

How long we keep it

Routine reader correspondence is retained only as long as it remains useful for editorial administration, legal compliance, archive integrity or follow-up reporting. Factual complaints and correction submissions may be retained for longer where they form part of the publication history of a piece. Technical logs are kept according to operational need and hosting practice.

Your choices

You may ask us to update or delete personal information you have submitted through the contact form, subject to any legal or record-keeping obligations that require temporary retention. If you want to correct, remove or review your submitted information, write to privacy@wadhurst.info.

International readership

We publish in Britain and serve readers in the UK and other Tier 1 and Tier 2 markets, including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and India. Where personal information moves through hosting or service providers, we expect appropriate safeguards and proportionate data handling.
